Where's The Time Gone?

I've been neglecting the blog lately. I've been retardedly busy at my real jobs and in my personal life and I've not had much time for television or blogging. I apologize to those loyal readers that pop in multiple times a day expecting witty banter (hopefully) and some TV news/gossip. I'll try to do my best. It's just that when you get behind it's hard to jump back on the wagon because you've already missed so much. Phew, got that off my chest.

Here are a few things I've watched recently that I would normally talk about in length but for sake of time I'll briefly mention.

Last Thursday night pissed me off. I know we have to have repeats and all but seriously? Everything I watch was a repeat. It helped because I actually had an event to go to that night so I wasn't home and it meant that I didn't have to stay up until 2am watching shows so I could talk about them to you guys and my friends at work. But still, no George, Callie, Izzie? No Dundies? That's not right...

Friday Night, seriously no Degrassi? I need to see the final moments of Darcy's downward spiral! The Bible Thumpers traded in her habit for some internet porn and it's some pretty hot business! And could I be loving Manny any more than I already do?

Luckily there was Dr. Who and Battlestar Galactica to still watch! Dr. Who I'm not really going to comment on as really, I don't think anyone but Jon, Myself, and Angel Cohen from TVGuide watch the show but it was a pretty good episode. I was also able to catch up on the previous two weeks , one of which had Giles (Buffy's Anthony Stewart Head) as a ancient evil that had evolved into a bat-like creature and as headmaster of a school he fed off the children. It was also the episode that brought the Doctor's most famous companion, Sarah Jane Smith and his dog K9 back! Not that I really watched the show back in the day but I knew who K9 was and remember Sarah Jane Smith briefly. Regardless, I cried like a bitch at the end of the episode because it made Rose, the Doctor's current companion realize she's not special and will one day be left on earth, back in her present time and place alone without explaination as to why the Doctor moved on without her. It was heartbreaking.

Battlestar was brutal as well. Damn, you do not mess with the insurgents! They'll airlock your ass so fast. Jammer, nice knowing ya. How's that guilt now Chief? Starbuck continues to spiral out of control which saddens me. I actually liked the semi-put together happy Kara and to see her probably sinking deeper than she ever has before just ruins me. Anders is a hottie McHottie and I like that he took a stand against the war crimes tribunal. Too bad he's losing his wife in the process. Baltar is in the front of a Cylon Raider, did you see the big pulsing red bar across his room? He's in the belly of the beast. I can't wait to see what they do to that man. Caprica 6 seemed quite through with having "feelings" for him and ready for some vengence. And finally, ladies and gents... Apollo has been hitting the jump rope which means those hot ass abs will be back soon!

Sunday Night brought my favorite moment of the weekend, an hour with the Walker family (Brothers & Sisters). And this hour did not disappoint. Kevin and Scotty had some amazing moments. Sarah and Nora had some tear-jerkers. Kitty and Warren tiffed and squabled but in the end found a very safe place for their hidden affections and both actors played their dancing scene like a beautiful ballet of words. Hell, even Balthazar Getty was acting his ass off for the first time since Piggy Got Crushed By Boulder... and that wife spoke! There was even reference to Holly's possibly Walker/Half Breed daughter - who if rumors prove true will end up being Everwood's Emily Van Camp.

Heroes still manages to hold my attention and still keeps me on this at times incredibly dark joyride. I'm digging the addition of DL, Niki's wall walking ex-husband, and his powers. There is so much distrust and anger between that couple (mostly because of Niki's evil other half) that the incredible super-fight at the end was thrilling. She flings him Buffy style across the room and he sticks his hand through her abdomen and back out through her chest in order to choke her! Unreal!

Hiro and Ando are still great comic relief (even in a crisis). They are so accepting of the completely messed up things going on around them. They witness Niki's carnage at the Poker game (seriously, the girls got some rage issues) and still find the time to be funny and childlike. Sure he had some superhero guilt, who wouldn't but it never seemed heavy handed or forced which is a great testament to the writing of the show. I can't wait to see their cross country journey and who they'll meet along the way. Rumor has it that soon, they meet up with Claire in Texas!

Speaking of Claire. How good is Hayden P? She played that awkward bio-parents reunion so well. I felt her anxiety and then I felt her suspicion. Do you think she knows her Dad is messing with her? I want her little friend to be on the show more. I heart that little gawky teen. He's a true friend, he offered to mangle and mame her bio-parents to see if they too have special powers. A true friend!

Friday Night Lights is still on my DVR. I'll get to it as soon as I can. I heard it was a great episode and really, how can it not be! Gimme more Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton!

Veronica Mars this week was a semi-weak showing. I don't like that they've sidelined the rape case so much. I get that it can't take over the show but a one or two mention a week doesn't cut it. Neither do those weak-ass shaved head caps these girls wear. They're horrible. It looks like someone glued cat hair (a Tabby for her, a Calico for this one) to a bald cap and off they went. It's almost what I find in my vacuum cleaner after a particularly long and sheddy period. Dirt and matted hair atop Parker's head. My cat Benna could fashion Mac's cap if she gets violated. I didn't care about the necklace, it was forced I thought. And can we talk about Weevil for a second? It's called Trimspa and Proactive... look into it. Damn he's hard to look at.

  • Poor Weevil. Instead of trimspa and proactive, though, I'd just recommend laying off the 'roids. (Yeah, I hope it's not true, but boy does it look that way...)

  • Where'd that Emily Van Camp on Brothers and Sisters (quickly gaining a LOT of ground as one of my faves this year) come from??? OMG that would be totally excellent! FNL.. always excellent again. GET THEE TO YOUR DIVO!
Anwyays, I was kinda okay with the repeats since I'm still playing catch up and November sweeps is about to start tonight!

As for Degrassi... hmm... yeah...what can I say? (No really, what can I say?)
