McDreamy and Burke Duke It Out... For Real!

According to TVGuide and People, Dr. Burke and Dr. McDreamy almost came to blows (hehe, I said blow). Read about it below.

Maybe this is reason enough to dismiss Dr. Burke's character? God I just don't like him.

TVGuide:
The New York Daily News confirms a tabloid's report that push came to shove this week for two Grey's Anatomy stars. As the story goes, Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey were arguing over the tardiness of cast members when Washington chided T.R. Knight, prompting Dempsey to tell Washington to "pick on somebody his own size."

Washington "became enraged," The Enquirer tells it, "grabbed Patrick by the throat and shoved him." The News' own spy denies that Washington got physical, but confirms that "Isaiah said some disgusting things," allegedly stemming from some jealousy over his rival's high profile. A rep for Dempsey tells the News "there was an argument — in any close-knit family, people argue — but everybody made up and went back to work." McJuicy!

People:
There would have been no shortage of bandages if things had really gotten out of hand during an on-set argument between Grey's Anatomy costars Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah Washington on Monday. Dempsey, 40, and Washington, 43, didn't need medical aid, but the actors, who both play renowned doctors on the show, nearly came to blows during a spat over shooting issues.

"We were like two baseball players . . . nose-to-nose," Washington tells PEOPLE. "We had a difference of opinions while working on set but we've resolved it."

At issue, says Washington, was "time and (keeping) the production going. The communication was lost in translation."

But no punches were thrown: "Our faces are too beautiful for that!," says Washington, who plays Dr. Preston Burke. Dempsey plays heartthrob Dr. Derek Shepherd, otherwise known as "Dr. McDreamy." In fact, just a few hours after the dustup, Washington and Dempsey were sitting side by side at a script read-through.

"In close families arguments happen," Dempsey's rep tells PEOPLE. "They worked it out." Washington even learned a little something about his costar. "I've never been that close to (Patrick) before," he says. "He has really pretty blue eyes."
